Passport fees

If you are applying for a passport, you need to pay the correct fee, in the local currency, or by cheque.   If you are paying by cheque, you should make your cheque payable to the 'British Embassy, Seoul'.  We cannot accept credit/debit cards.

Prices

The following prices are correct as of 9 April 2009.  These prices are subject to change without notice.

  • 32-page adult passport - £124.50
  • 32-page child (under-16) passport - £79.50
  • 48-page 'jumbo' passport - £150.50
  • Emergency passport* - £69.00 
  • Call out fee (for issuing a temporary or emergency passport outside of office hours)*** - £128.00

    * Only available if other types of passports cannot be printed in time
    ** Not available at all embassies or consulates
    *** For every hour or part of an hour, for each officer, up to a maximum of £922.00

    Note: You need to pay the correct fee, in the local currency when you apply for a passport.

CONSULAR EXCHANGE RATE £1.00=W2,000

  • Fee: Biometric (32 page) passport - £124.50=W249,000   
  • Fee:Child under 16(valid 5yrs) ; Biometric (32 page) passport - £79.50=W159,000
  • Fee: Biometric (48 page) passport - £150.50=W301,000
  • Fee: Emergency Passport - £69=W138,000
  • Fee: Amendments - £97.50=W195,000  

* Fees are payable in Korean Won only (by cheque or cash). The Consular Exchange rate is subject to change. These prices are subject to change without notice. 

Additional fees

There is a call out fee for issuing a temporary or emergency passport outside of office hours. You will need to add this fee to the cost of the passport.
The rate is for every hour or part of an hour for each member of our staff.

Call out fee

GBP: £128.00 per hour or part of an hour (in Korean Won please.  See the above exchange rate). The maximum charge is £922 GBP
