Gloster valley
Each year, normally in April, a Remembrance Ceremony is held at the Gloster Valley Memorial at Solma-ri. The ceremony remembers the sacrifice and service of all British Servicemen and women during the Korean war and centres around the battle of the Imjin River and the 29th British Brigade. The Ceremony coincides with the annual re-visit of the Commonwealth Veterans to South Korea sponsored by the Korean Veterans Association and the Government of Korea. As part of the commemoration, sponsorships are awarded to schoolchildren from local schools provided by money collected from numerous British and International companies and individuals. The last ceremony was held in April 2008.
The annual ceremony would not be possible without the continued assistance of the ROK Army, Paju City Council, the UN Korean War Veterans Association and the kind donations of the British and International community.
