Mr Dominic McAllister has been First Secretary for Science & Innovation at the British Embassy in Seoul since December 2008. Before coming to Korea Dominic spent four months in London supporting regional Science and Innovation activities for the European Science and Innovation Network within the Department of Innovation, Universities and Skills. Dominic has been a career diplomat since 1990 and has served in Belgrade, Cairo, Riyadh, Taipei and Caracas. He has a BSc in Chemistry from King's College London. Ms Hyeyoung Kim (Science & Innovation Manager) is responsible for the UK-Korea focal point S&I networking programmes covering: polar research, food safety, prion research, life sciences, e-science, global navigation & satellite systems, and women in science.  She also covers nanotechnology and biotechnology innovation sectors for the Embassy and is responsible for bilateral Science Technology Innovation Partnership (STIP) programmes in these technologies.
